Bhaiyav, I feel so very Indori today,
Beating right the heart of India
This feeling, this feeling is here to stay!
Even though I may feel overwhelmed,
Congested like the Patnipura streets,
Indori is the art of feeling grand
Like the Krishnapur Chattri and Rajwada,
This feeling is here to stay.
Sometimes I feel bleak and insecure
Empty like the lonely Malwa Mills.
But I see hope served in Sarafa pavements
In breakfast plates of Poha and Chai,
Reassured, I feel so very Indori today.
Sometimes life slows me down
Stuck in the traffic in BRTS corridor
But Indori jugaad always finds me a way
To cruise along on the Airport Road,
And alas! This feeling is here to stay.
Passing through High Court, I thought about justice,
Didn't find it around in Nyay Nagar's slums,
Vijay Nagar's nearby but have we really won?
Wondering if everyone gets their share of Saket
I wonder why; I feel so very Indori today.
A savory mix of sweet and some sour,
Like the delicacies in Chappan Dukan
Indori is not just a taste, it's a state of mind:
Bhaiyyav, I feel so very Indori today
Yeah, This feeling is here to stay.
