You didn’t care what I wanted, instead-
you took away whatever I had before
You didn’t care
I didn’t even know you, but you
came into-
my life with a sole purpose to
ruin my life
You didn’t care
I worked hard so that I can get admission to-
top colleges, but you took that away from me
You didn’t care
I was from a middle class family,
I don’t know-
how my father took care of your
expenditures
You didn’t care
You knew how much I hated
sympathy,
but you bombarded me with sympathies
You didn’t care
I love my hair, but to get rid
of-
you I lost my hair in the process
You didn’t care
You knew needles didn’t make me
cry,
but those cries from kids’ pain
did
You didn’t care
I was in love, if I had a little more time-
I might have confessed my love to her
You didn’t care
What was my fault, what was that kid’s-
fault, what was that old lady’s fault?
You didn’t care
I wasn’t scared of death, but I
was-
scared what my mom will do if I
die
You didn’t care
You didn’t care
5th February 2015
Today after a year spent fighting you,
defeating you. I feel stronger than ever. I made few friends here but am
leaving with fewer friends. I know that you didn’t care about me but because of
you I have learnt few things. I have realized the importance of family, time,
hope, patience, money and friends. I didn’t remember if my father helped me
walk but now I do. You took a lot from me, time being the most. This was the
most important and dangerous fight of my life. Yes, I escaped death from its
jaws.
