Love was, in front of my eyes.
Shuffling, between the daily screech of the blackboard
and forty other faces.
My gaze wore a smile and collided with love’s,
then deflected to hit, everything else, everyone else
and met again in the corridor’s empty side.
I heard the bell chime, I let love go by. In the sea of crowd,
love disappeared.
Love was, wrapped in the amorphous sunlight.
Descending from the yellow bus, brown eyes rendered me
blind for some time.
Love would giggle and the lines of my world blurred
in every place but where, love was present.
my heart throbbed in love’s song until, I heard the bell
break the rhyme. Everything was alike. In the sea of crowd,
love disappeared.
Love was, in the string of messages.
Falling in and out of my reach like my hesitant speech
that left unsaid spaces.
Everyday was a warning, howl of the wind echoing in my ear
“Tell her. Tell her right now”
It was, the last day at the school. Love was an entirety
in that drop of moment
me and my words capsized. Again.
Shuffling, between the daily screech of the blackboard
and forty other faces.

in that drop of moment

The bell broke a ripple as, chaos swept over me for a while.
In the sea of crowd,
I disappeared.
In the sea of crowd,
I disappeared.
